open position in
brain-inspired computing
the zju-uiuccenterfor heterogeneously integrated brain inspired computing (hybrid), part of the
zju-uiuc dynamic research enterprise for multidisciplinary engineering science
(dremes), is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow for a full-time position in
brain-inspired computing.zhejianguniversity, ranked among the top three universities
inchina,
offers this opportunity.
project
background and aim:
the research focuses on developing
next-generation computing approaches inspired by neuroscience advancements.
examples include neural information theory, spiking neural networks, quantum
devices mimicking brain functions, new computer architectures based on neuronal
structures, and heterogeneous integration techniques. the ideal candidate may
have degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science,
physics, or mathematics.
eligibility:
candidates should hold a ph.d. in
electrical engineering or a related field. experience in both theoretical and
computational methods (coding in in language like python, matlab, c, fortran,
julia, or any standard scientific computing package) is essential. experimental
experience is also encouraged. familiarity with computational methods and
mathematical modeling is required. while knowledge on neuroscience is
desirable, it is not mandatory; supervisors will provide guidance for those not
familiar with the field.

well-organized and affordable town in the eastern suburbs ofhangzhou,
with metro access to the city center and within a 1.5-hour drive fromshanghai. the group has
convenient access to large supercomputing clusters and mainframes, as well as
advanced experimental tools in electromagnetics, nanoscience, and materials
science, including clean rooms for microfabrication, raman spectroscopy, stm,
and other modern physical and electronic libraries and databases.
general
